The companys first release, Evil Ernie, debuted in
June 1993 with sales of 66,000 copies. From then on, there
was no turning back. Pulido and company dedicated themselves
to grabbing the Dark Dollar.

that the supernatural had been ghettoized in comics and

Chaos! Comics
(1993-2002) was a cutting edge publisher with its finger on the
pulse of the market place and an intuitive sense for what readers
of dark entertainment wanted. Chaos! consistently ranked as a
top ten comics publisher from 1995-2002 and was the number one
selling independent publisher of the 1990s.
The company sprang from the vision of its founder, Brian Pulido.
Not seeing the comics he wanted to read, he decided to make them.
With no publishing experience whatsoever, Pulido laid down the
gauntlet. Scraping up less than one hundred and fifty dollars,
Chaos! Comics was formed in November 1992 in the kitchen of Pulidos
600 sq. ft. studio apartment.
