BIOGRAPHY Brian Pulido is a multi-talented creator, writer and producer of edgy pop cultural entertainment and merchandise. Pulido wrote and directed The feature film, “The Graves” starring Tony Todd (Candy Man) and Bill Mosley (The Devil’s Rejects). He created, produced and wrote the story for ADV Film’s animated feature, Lady Death. His award-winning short horror film, “There’s Something out There”, has played dozens of film festivals and has garnered eight wins. His music video “Voices of The Dead” for Calabrese has been viewed 1.2 million times on YouTube. Mischief Maker Studios, LLC, Pulido’s media company, represents the rights to ten comic book properties who’s combined sales have exceed ten million dollars. Mischief Maker also has multiple scripts budgeted, scheduled and ready to go. As the President of Chaos! Comics, Pulido was the leading independent comic publisher of the 1990’s, achieving over twenty million dollars in sales in eight languages. As creative director, Pulido won twelve international printing awards and oversaw hundreds of licensed items including posters, prints, sculptures, action figures, apparel, trading cards and drinkware. Pulido has created and written hundreds of comic books including Lady Death, Evil Ernie, Purgatori and licensed comics including A Nightmare on Elm St., Chucky, Friday The 13th and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. He’s written or published stories for World Wrestling Entertainment, Universal’s The Mummy, Halloween, Megadeth and Insane Clown Posse. Marvel and Dark Horse comics, among others, have published his stories. He received the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund’s Defender of Liberty award for his fundraising efforts in support of first amendment issues and is on the board of Directors for The Hero Initiative, a non-profit organization that raises funds for comic book veterans in need. He co-founded the International Horror and Sci-Fi Film Festival, headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. Pulido is a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts Motion Picture and Television Department. He resides in the southwest with his wife Francisca and their dogs, Raven and Midnight. |
